Dave's Red Barchetta Rush Page

RUSH IS:

Geddy Lee- Bass Guitar, Synthesizer, All Vocals.

Niel Peart- Percussion

Alex Lifeson- Electric Guitar, 6 and 12 string guitars.

Rush was brought up in Toronto, Canada. They were at Geddy's house one
night (when they already had a band) and they were thinking about making albums.
At this time, they didn't have a name. This is how they got their name. They
were doing a gig at a bar one night, and as they were done, Alex went off the
stage and heard some guys talking about the show. "Oh man, that was a
total RUSH" is what they said. So the name stuck as 'Rush'. Pretty cool
huh!!!

O.K. here is some information on each of the band members

Geddy Lee- Geddy is the bass and synthesizer. The real way to say his name
is like Gary, except you take the a & the r and put in edd. Geddy. He can
play the Synthesizer and the bass at the same time. His brain allows him to
play two instruments at once. Like on Freewill, and Red Barchetta, if you
listen carefully you can here the bass and synthesizer playing at the same time
it's pretty cool.

Niel Peart- Drummer, as you know. When he drums, he plays along with the
music. In other words, he doesn't plan anything out, he just plays along. His
name is the hardest one some people think Peart is just like Purt. but it's not,
it's like peeart. It rhymes with Niel. I think that Niel is THE BEST drummer
ever!!!

Alex Lifeson- Electric guitar, and six and twelve string guitars.
